Red, White and Blue Table

While you can be patriotic all through out the year, it seems like the summer is the patriotic season especial for decorating. Over the Labor Day weekend we had one last splash of red, white and blue. Our shed in the backyard is always decked out with a little red, white and blue. This photo was taken a little earlier in the summer. Now the grass is not quite as green and the leaves are starting to fall.

We had friends over for dinner and had a beautiful night to eat outside.

Like a lot of my dishes, the blue glass plates were inexpensive. I think I purchased them from K-mart several years ago. The glasses were a sale find from Pier One. New this year are the pretty striped bowls from Crate and Barrel. The salt and pepper shakers are Fiestaware. I think it is fun to mix different types of tableware.

The top tablecloth is vintage, I love the boldness of it. For napkins I use red and white tea towel, they are nice to use because they are large and wash up well.

A side view of the shed also decorated with a little patriotic flare.

Gorgeous table, Laura. I love everything on it. The vintage tablecloth, those glass plates, the stemware, everything. I believe Labor Day should be about red white and blue! xo

Laura, I am always a sucker for anything red, white, and blue. Your dishes are wonderful. I love mixing up different styles of dishware also. Love it all, but your shed is fabulous! Hoping to build an outbuilding next Spring. Hope it's as cute as yours. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Ah, I see we also have a Mutual Love of the Vintage Tablecloth and their bold use of Print & Color! I have an Insane Collection of them and it's one of my most Hoarded Collectibles! *LOL* I have made a Vow to Self to go through them by next year and part with those that I can manage to Let Go of so as to Cull the Hoard! *Winks* That way I don't end up on some Reality Show for the Vintage Tablecloth Hoarding Episode! *LOL*
