Get Your Irish On

In March many of us wish we could claim that we were just a little bit Irish. I know I do, but alas no Irish ancestry as far as I know. Well, that won't stop me from doing a little decorating for St Patrick's Day. I liberated my pink feather tree from it's silver beads and stars that I use during the holidays and added shamrocks and green beaded garland.

A pink and green tree, my favorite color combination.

The green seltzer bottle is etched, Abe Berg, Sparkling Beverages, New York, NY. I'm guessing Abe probably was not Irish either.

Green bears with coordinating green jewels.

My only St. Patty's Day vintage postcard, how is it I only have one? I'll have to be on the hunt for more.

Love birds….

We were fortunate to have taken a trip to Ireland several years ago. It truly was a magical place, lush, green, old ruins, good food and charming people. I'll be dreaming of my time there and hope to make a return trip one day soon. But until then I have to settle for the sparkly shamrocks!

Laura-What a great tribute to St.Paddy's Day. I LOVE all your green pieces-especially the seltzer bottle. Maybe Abe's last name was O'Berg?;>)
You did a nice job pulling everything together- xo Diana

Oh I like pink & green together also, so preppy

Maybe i'll get a little tree out and decorate it for St Pat's Day

I never hear the work Ireland now but what I think of the show
," So Who Do You Think You Are"
where they took Rosie O'Donnell back to Ireland to find her family heritage and it was so sad to hear about the starving people of Ireland

Love the "paddy-ness" of this post. My son-in-law asked my daughter to marry her on St. Patrick's Day so it's a special day for us.

Laura, I would not have put pink with the green for St. Patty's but it works. Love it! I have a pink and green theme going on with my dishes right now for Spring. I will now look at them through Irish eyes. And you can bet they will be smiling. lol! I love your seltzer bottle. On the look out for one. I dream of going to Ireland some day. Or Scotland, either one would be such a joy. thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
