Five Minute Holiday Decorating Idea

I'm slowly getting my decorating done. I did a little bit of decorating up at the cottage last weekend by using or reusing items I had on hand. This is a super quick decorating idea. I have vintage jars that usually hold coffee beans and seed packets. I simply switched those out for vintage Christmas cards and an ornament. Placed them on a silver tray, added greens and candy canes. Oh yes, I also added a salt shaker that had a red top.

I love the patina of vintage ornaments.

If you don't have vintage jars or cards you could use clear vases and Christmas cards that you are receiving in the mail. Target also has some great clear jars with silver tops that have a vintage feel to them.

I'm almost done with my Christmas tree at home. I can't tell you how much I hate putting those lights on! How are you coming with your decorating? I hope to be done with all the decorating this weekend so I can move on to my baking.

You are so creative! It goes to show we can decorate with our dishes.
I'm very slow on decorating. I was happy that all the dishes came out and pretty much had stopped there. I did work on the mantle yesterday. I still need to get stockings for my new fur babies. Maybe we will get one of the trees up today. I dislike putting the lights on it too.
