We are enjoying a weekend at the cottage before the busyness of the holidays are in full force at home. We just got back for our town's holiday kick off called, Flurry Fest. They have a large tent set up in the park downtown and various stores and restaurants provide hot chocolate tasting and you get to vote for your favorite. A different pairing this year was hot chocolate, peanut butter and curry, hum….. interesting. I'm still on a little bit of a sugar buzz..
We then moved on to a little porch decorating. I really wanted a baby Christmas tree to put in the vintage wagon but no such luck, no little trees. So plan B, I propped up a tree against the house and the table. I was afraid the tree would get blown over in a stand. It can get really windy up here in northern Michigan in the winter time.
I left the bird houses I used in the fall decorating, added a star, birds, greens and red beaded garland.
I also added a vintage wagon and skates!
My porch bunny wanted to join the decorating. She is wearing her vintage pearl collar of the occasion.
Here is one last photo with some fun effects, I think the porch looks like it is lit up with red Christmas lights.
Now all we need is piles of snow and the decorating will be complete. I'm really hoping for a white Christmas. How about you you?

Looks so pretty, I love the way the red beads look on the fir tree. Very vintage with each item.

Laura your holiday porch is just perfect! I love your bunny.
Your porch is so nice. I love all the fun things you used.
Your porch is precious and that bunny standing guard is sweet! All the birdhouses may net you a few renters this season! LOL! I imagine your weather can get very cold like it can be here in Colorado. I enjoyed your porch very much. Have a beautiful weekend.
I love your porch ... a great combination of winter and the holidays. So much fun with the skates and the sled. Love the red lights!
Hoping for snow here in the AZ desert would be a total wasted effort, but we do get to enjoy all kinds of beautiful outdoor flowers, including poinsettias, this time of year. Your front porch is so charming, and I adore your collection of little birdhouses.
Your porch looks amazing! I know Santa will not be able to miss your home. What an inviting vignette.
We'd love to have you share it at Ivy and Elephants.
Hugs,
Patti
