Pink & White Christmas

This year I banished the color red from my tree. I happen to love red, it is a close cousin to pink, one of my favorite colors. But there is not any red in the rooms the tree can be seen from. So this year I focused on pink, white, silver, gold or bronze.  It turned out to be a more cohesive look and flowed better with the rooms.

Every year we buy a tree a little too tall, so we have to lobe the very top off of the tree and there is really not enough room for a tree topper. This year I have a bejeweled bear holding court near the top of the tree.

Years ago I did paper cuttings to add to the tree. To me they are like icing on the cake, they add light and unexpected interest. At one time I had a whole heard of animals but they went missing in the holiday clean up one year. I keep hoping they will turn up, where oh where could they be???

A little herd of menorah moose.

On the right you can see the hutch decked out with little houses and bottle brush trees. I'll give you a close up look at those a little later……

Despite taking about 30 pictures of the tree, I don't feel any of them captured it's true beauty and sparkle. And of course we are missing the wonderful smell.

Please be sure to register for our giveaway, it ends Monday at midnight!!!!!

Oh Laura, your tree is lovely! I love all the clear glass ornies and those paper cut-outs are the piece d'resistance! Not sure if I spelled that right, but I really do think they add so much whimsy to your pink tree. So glad you paid me a visit.

Oh I love your pink tree. You have so many gorgeous ornaments. Must say, I love that pink bird! Your paper cuttings are fabulous. They really do add a special touch. I love glittery houses and bottlebrush trees. I'll be back to get a better peek. I am not signing up for your give away. Not because I don't want to, but because I won a ramsign on another blog give away. One mustn't be too greedy. Santa might be watching. lol!

Truth be told, pink isn't one of my favorite colors. But, I have to admit, your tree is stunning. You have some gorgeous ornaments (yes, even the pink ones) and the moose and candy cane garland is adorable. Love it all!

Hi Laura, I missed seeing your tree in person this year. Your photographs are simply scrumptious and make the tree look magical. Is there any thing my dear friend Laura cannot do? Your talents, grace, beauty and wisdom put you in such a select group of artists! Your dear Keitb and Andrea are so very lucky! Love you!
