The Season of Skells

The Halloween season is fun, silly, a little spooky and a time to bring out my favorite guys, skeletons! I added two new skeletons plates to my collection this year. These were a great find and came from the Esty shop of fellow blogger Ann at Moonbeams and Fireflies. When I saw these plates I fell in love with their quirky faces.

The owl has a matching top hat!

I love the crown on this skell, he is hanging in my dining room. I gave this photo a sepia look, more spooky right?

I'd hate to meet him in the dark…..

I found these appetizer plates last year at West Elm.

Mix the two plates sets together and you get a crazy new skeleton dancing across the table.

  6. What a scary post! I know Halloween and some people even celebrate it in Switzerland. When my boys were small we made parties with bloody fingers (sausages with ketchup), horrible drinks (icetea with awful edible colors) etc.etc. Have fun and enjoy also for me! Christa

  9. I have a bit of a fascination with skeletons, and these are really fun! While they're kinda spooky, they're also just playful in a way. I like how you created fun looks by mixing the plates! Your owls are cute, too. The little top hat is hilarious! He really looks like he's ready to paint the town red!

  12. Laura, I love the skelly plates and the owls! I have a few skelly items in the kitchen and they are too fun. Gotta have a little bit of spooky, right? Did you see that you won my give away? Just need your address and I will get it in the mail. Heading to Hawaii on Thursday. If I don't get it out on Weds. I'll send it the minute I get back. Thanks for sharing your fun skellys with SYC.
    Hugs,
