A Bright and Shiny Holiday Setting


The best gift of all arrived this holiday season my daughter and blogging partner Andrea came home for the holidays! She was able to give me a hand in getting the holiday table set. This year our family hosted Christmas Eve, we just had a few minutes to snap pictures of the table before our extended family arrived…


I don't have enough of any one set of dishes and stemware so we mix and match. Upon further review of the table, it appears we're missing a spoon. I hope we added it before dinner!


The dishes are a mix of Johnson Brothers Strawberry Fair, Rose Chintz and a few others thrown in.


Andrea and I both snapped pictures, we both seemed to focus on the center piece which was a mix of different votives along with new and vintage glass garland.








We hope your holidays were bright and shiny.

    I love the floral dinner plate. Your table looks beautiful, and the roses really pick up the colours of the plates! Hope your holiday was wonderful.

    It looks beautiful. Love the mixing of the dishes. We spent Christmas Eve at my MIL's but I took my dishes to use. Happy New Year!

    Your table is wonderful and matchy-matchy is kind of boring to me. I mix up everything myself-I am not brave enough or patient enough for tablescaping however. hugs♥Olive

    What a gorgeous table you've set! I love the mix of coordinating patterns and I'd bet the spoon had been carried in to the kitchen for a sneak preview of the luscious menu items. Happy New Year!

    I absolutely love the photos above, especially the pink beads and mercury glasses. I used mauve and silver beads on my Christmas table Christmas day and a few years ago spread gold and red ones around circular tables for Christmas function I organised for a company. I also scattered little gold stars around the tables at the function.

    Wow, what a fabulous table! My son was here from Out of town for Christmas, so I know how fabulous it was for you to have your daughter with you! You had large group for Christmas eve, I bet that was sooo fun!
